Avocado (Pollock Variety)

Product Details

Your ‘Trini’ pelau is best consumed with a slice of avocado, locally known as zaboca or pear. This fruit is considered to be a super food, highly nutritious and delicious. Our grafted avocado plants can reach as high as 15 metres, however, smaller trees can be maintained by pruning. We recommend planting at the beginning of the rainy season in well-drained soils. The grafted plants bear as early as 2 – 3 years usually from June to October. A pear-shaped fruit with a dark green or purple skin, the avocado is single-seeded with a smooth, buttery, greenish-yellow flesh.
