Basil

Product Details

The sweet basil plant thrives in partial shade and can reach heights of 30 -150 centimetres. The leaves are richly green, rounded, slightly cupped, and curve to form a point at the tip. This herb can be grown year-round in well-drained soil in containers. It is one of the easiest herbs to grow. Sweet basil has been used for thousands of years as a culinary and medicinal herb. It is popularly used to flavour soups, sauces and salads because of its delectable peppery-sweet taste with a hint of licorice. Medicinally, it can be used to treat ailments of the digestive and nervous systems, easing flatulence, stomach cramps, colic and indigestion.
