Custard Apple

Product Details

Custard Apple trees produce an excellent fruit. After planting a custard apple tree, you can expect it to grow up to 10 metres. These trees require full sunlight and can be planted year-round in well-drained soils. Plants usually flower from April to May and bear fruit within 3 – 4 years between August to November. The fruits are typically heart-shaped with a thin skin that has a pinkish tinge when ripe while the pulp of the fruit boasts a sweet and pleasant flavour that is similar to the taste of ‘traditional’ custard. It can be eaten fresh or used in desserts and for making juices.
