Ficus (Green)

Product Details

This species of ficus, also called the weeping fig, can be grown as a houseplant or a focal point in a garden. The tree can reach a height of 12 – 15 metres and a spread of 7 – 9 metres. It can be planted throughout the year in well-drained soil and grows best in full sunlight to partial shade. The young foliage is light green and slightly wavy whereas the older leaves are green and smooth; the leaf blade is oval with a broadly rounded base and ends with a short dropper tip. This ficus requires low maintenance and is tolerant of poor growing conditions. This elegant plant has slender branches that arch exquisitely from a light gray trunk, with dense, glossy dark leaves. If grown outdoors, it can pruned into a hedge or a rounded shrub.
