Jhingi

Product Details

Jhingi is a vining crop that requires trellising. It bears long rigid type pods in 3 months and has a texture and taste similar to cucumber. Daily watering would be required during the dry season, for the first month of production. It grows best in well-tilled, loamy soil, full sunlight and can be planted year-round. Immature fruits are cooked as a vegetable. Mature fruits are used as natural cleaning sponges.
