Product Details

A long cold drink of mauby can cool you down on a hot day. Your mauby plant will grow into a small tree or shrub, commonly 3 – 6 metres in height with a slender trunk and branches. This tree can be planted year-round in full to partial sunlight and with regular watering in its early stages of development. The bark of the mauby tree is orange-brown and peels off in thin layers when mature. The bark is used to make a delicious, refreshing ’Mauby Drink’, by boiling with sugar and spices to make beverages which are widely consumed in Trinidad.
