The Moringa Tree, also known as the miracle tree or sajan, grows to 12 m high. This tree likes full sunlight and can grow in any soil types, once well drained. The Moringa tree can be planted year round once water is available. It bears within a year and flowers April to June. The fruit is a three (3) sided long pod which grows 20- 30 cm in length and is green-dark brown in colour. The leaves, succulent stems and pods can be eaten, as well as the grounded leaves can be used in teas.
