Rubber ficus

Product Details

Rubber ficus plants can be planted indoors in pots or outdoors along your walkways and driveways, reaching a height of 2- 3 metres tall. It prefers full sunlight and should be planted in well-aerated soil compost. It should be irrigated when the soil is dry to touch. It is important to ensure that the pot or container has drainage holes in the base. This attractive ornamental produces broad, shiny oval-shaped leaves and requires little maintenance. The large leaves are excellent for converting carbon dioxide into oxygen, making it an excellent air purifier. Once the plant has grown to a desired height, you can trim the top. Rubber ficus produces a milky white latex similar to the commercially grown rubber tree. This latex is quite toxic to humans and animals.
